Worthington Industrial Park is compromised of approximately 120 acres and dedicated to light industrial or distribution/warehouse facility use. The park is regulated by protective covenants to ensure an attractive setting for manufacturing and distribution companies. Worthington sites are fully served with water and electric service from the Town of Ayden and sewer service from the Contentnea Metropolitan Sewerage District.  Natural gas service is also available.

The county maintains an active shell building program to ensure buildings are available to interested companies. Shell buildings can be finished to the purchasers' specifications within 90 to 120 days. County industrial parks are subject only to county taxes. The Worthington Industrial Park is within 20 minutes of North Carolina's Global TransPark and Foreign Trade Zone 214.
