Dr. W. Randolph Chitwood, Jr.

He could live anywhere in the world. But being a world-renowned pioneer in minimally invasive cardiac surgery hasn't given Dr. Randolph Chitwood wanderlust. Nor has teaching medical teams at leading hospitals around the globe. He's right at home in Greenville, North Carolina.

"You don't have to be in a big city to accomplish something exciting. I could have chosen any number of places to live and work, and I've had offers to lead other major programs elsewhere. But I don't think I could have found a more advanced and integrated medical and industrial environment, more recreational opportunities, or friendlier people than in eastern North Carolina."
